Absent Voters List 1939 This transcription gives the lists of the Absent Voters registered in the Electoral Rolls of 1939. This in effect shows all the people eligible to vote who were not in residence on the qualifying date, and this represents (apart from a couple of exceptions) all those members of the uniformed services on active duty away from home. Many of those listed died during WW II, so this is a good source of information about servicemen and women at the time. Absent Voters 1939
