Battle of Britain Memorials

National Memorials > Air Force Memorials > Battle of Britain, Capel-le-Ferne and London

There are several national memorials to the men who fought in the Battle of Britain in the summer of 1940, who are commemorated on Island Memorials, and who died during the Battle or subsequently. Some are also buried on the Island.

Battle of Britain Memorial : Capel-le-Ferne

Battle of Britain Monument : London

These men are also named on framed Rolls of Honour at the Royal Air Force Museum at Hendon; however they are difficult to photograph, being mounted in glass frames in a fairly dim part of the museum.

These are the men we know with Island connections :-
