Help Wanted review

We are examining how best we can continue to display "Help Wanted" messages on the new website.

I have sent messages to all the current members and correspondents who appear in entries in the Help Wanted section of the legacy website, and where I get an "invalid e-mail" or "message cannot be delivered" reply, I will remove that entry from the list.  We are also proposing to limit the number of requests to those most recently received, say, within the last year, unless you let us know that you want your entry to be retained.

However, if you have changed your e-mail address, and not advised us of it, and still want to keep the Help Wanted entry, do let us know. This particularly applies to Freeserve or Tesco e-mail accounts which were closed down by their providers - if we can't contact you, no-one else can !

So far (up to 14 Nov) I have reduced the number of outstanding requests by 40, but I am still waiting for replies from another 250 requestors.

Alternately we also advise people to use our Facebook Group as a means of posting requests, as this is sometimes quicker, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of any responses !

Best wishes

Geoff Allan, Chairman
