Database updates

We have now incorporated two databases into our searchable database set.

Newspaper BMD Announcements : transcriptions from Births Marriages and Deaths announcements from various Isle of Wight publications. These augment the basic BMD Indexes and can provide details of dates, places and relationships but should not be taken as a replacement for the official Certificates obtainable from the Registrars.

Patient Records for the Royal National Hospital for Diseases of the Chest, Ventnor : indexes taken from the Patient records. Many of the patients were from the mainland, and therefore this set of data is made public to all.

Both are works in progress, and additional records will be entered as we receive further transcriptions.

Use the DATABASES menu dropdown to select these search screens. The All Databases search on the home page also includes these two sets.
