    This series of postcards was gifted to the Society by Kåre Eriksson in Sweden in 2014. They represent the collection of postcards which are believed to have been, for the most part, if not all, in the possession of the GUY family.

On your left is the Census return for the Guy family in 1911 at Sunny Side [farm], Budbridge; it names :

William Guy - Head - Aged 47 - Cowman on Farm
Alice Guy - Wife - Aged 42 - Married 23 yrs, 9 children, 7 living, 2 deceased
Albert Guy - Son - Aged 19 - Horseman on farm
Douglas Guy - son - Aged 17 - Farm labourer
Hilda Guy - Daughter - Aged 14
Percy Guy - Son - Aged 12 - School
Leslie Guy - Son - Aged 10 - School
Sidney Guy - Son - Aged 6
Hedley Guy - Son - Aged 3

Apart from William Guy, born in Whippingham, all the rest were born in Arreton. Alice Guy was née Wood or Woods.

The two children who had died by this time were Bertha Elsie Selina Guy (1886 - 87, aged 4 months) and Arthur Charles Henry Guy (1888 - 89, aged 3 months).
