1920 - 1947 Electoral Rolls   We have transcripts of a selected number of years of this series at the Heritage Resource Centre, in both hard copy and electronic form.

Source : typescripts originally made by D J Quigley from the originals held by the Isle of Wight County Record Office.

1939 Absent Voters List This transcription gives the lists of the Absent Voters registered in the Electoral Rolls of 1939. This in effect shows all the people eligible to vote who were not in residence on the qualifying date, and this represents (apart from a couple of exceptions) all those members of the uniformed services on active duty away from home. Many of those listed died during WW II, so this is a good source of information about servicemen and women at the time.

Source : transcribed from typescripts originally made by D J Quigley in 1999 from the originals held by the Isle of Wight County Record Office.
We have added links to the CWGC records for those who died.
